In contrast to these strong outings, "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" disappoints many fans with its passive portrayal of Padmé. She only appears in the first act to announce that she's pregnant, sits and watches as democracy burns in the second, and unceremoniously dies in the third. ![]() But with her shrewd intelligence and proficient espionage and combat skills, Padmé soon proves herself a force to be reckoned with. In "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones" and multiple episodes of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," Padmé thwarts multiple Separatist plots, unknowingly hinders Palpatine's plan to overthrow the Republic, and exposes corruption throughout the galaxy. One of the youngest senators of the Republic, she is often underestimated by her political opponents. ![]()
